CASE STUDY
DIRECT HIRE · MANUFACTURING & INDUSTRIAL
Power cable manufacturer · South Carolina
THE ROLE
WHAT MADE IT HARD
A very small pool of leaders with 10+ years in manufacturing engineering, 5+ years managing teams, hands-on experience in extrusion, wire drawing, cabling and stranding, and working knowledge of IEEE, UL, AEIC, ASTM and nuclear (10CFR50) standards. No one local fit.
OUR APPROACH
We searched nationally across wire and cable manufacturers for engineering leaders who had run these exact processes, then screened every candidate for standards experience, management track record and the communication skills to work directly with customers.
WHY IT WORKED
The client hired a proven cable manufacturing leader who could step in from day one. We supported the offer and the relocation, moving him and his family from Oklahoma to South Carolina.

Questions
Technical, field, supervisory and professional roles in environmental, energy and utilities, construction and infrastructure, engineering, manufacturing and industrial companies. That includes engineers, project managers, superintendents, EHS managers, technicians, plant supervisors and skilled trades leads.
You have two options. With container search, you pay an engagement fee to start, and it’s credited in full toward your placement fee when you hire. The total fee is lower, and your search gets top priority. With contingency, there’s no upfront fee, and you pay a standard placement fee when you hire. Both fees are a percentage of the new hire’s first-year base salary. We confirm all fees and terms in writing before any work begins, with no hidden charges.
Container search is best for specialized or hard-to-fill roles, or when you need someone soon. It costs less overall, and we work the search as a top priority. Contingency works well for roles that are easier to fill or when you’re using more than one recruiter. On our first call, we’ll recommend the option that fits your role.
For most roles, you’ll see your first screened candidates within 7–10 business days. Many roles are filled within 30–60 days. Quick interview feedback is the biggest factor in how fast we close.
Every direct hire placement includes a 90-day replacement guarantee. If the person leaves or is let go for performance within 90 days of starting, we’ll find a replacement at no additional fee.
Every candidate has a phone screen with us and a review of their experience against your must-haves. We verify licenses and certifications the role requires and share our honest notes on each person. Background checks and drug screening are available when you need them.

Direct hire is for specialized, technical and mid-level roles, with a container or contingency option. Executive search is for senior or confidential leadership roles. It’s a deeper, dedicated search paid in milestones. Not sure which fits? Call us and we’ll help you decide.
