HIRING CHALLENGES WE SOLVE

Why these roles are hard to fill, and how we fill them

01

Competition for experience

People who have built utility-scale projects are in high demand. We reach the ones who aren't on job boards.

02

Hiring tied to project timelines

Teams often need to be in place by a set mobilization date. We plan the search around your schedule.

03

Remote project sites

Many projects are far from major cities. We find people who are willing to travel or relocate, and confirm it early.

04

Transferable skills

Strong candidates sometimes come from traditional power, utilities or heavy construction. We know which backgrounds carry over.

RESULT Placed. A rare hybrid hire: a solar policy expert who could also lead sales enablement.

THE ROLE

WHAT MADE IT HARD

Policy depth was the deciding factor. Solar rules such as FEOC and domestic content change often, and only a small group of professionals has turned them into practical sales guidance. The role also called for 7+ years in residential solar, executive-level communication, onsite work in San Francisco, and preferred Korean language skills for work with global headquarters.

OUR APPROACH

We mapped the market across solar manufacturers, installers and dealers, financing companies and energy policy teams to find people who had already done this exact work. We approached them directly and confidentially, then tested every finalist on policy knowledge, commercial judgment and leadership communication before the client met them.

WHY IT WORKED

The client didn’t have to choose between a policy expert and a sales leader. They met a short list of candidates who could do both, with our written assessment of how each one matched the role’s must-haves.
